SKETCH SALE

Who doesn’t love a bargain? If this is you, you’re in luck, because here’s a selection of sketches from the last few years all at a knockdown price! Some are portraits of cool people, such as Vini Reilly (Durutti Column) and Jason Williamson (Sleaford Mods), while others are preparatory drawings for paintings, but they all have one thing in common…

Beacuse they’re all available for just £15 including postage!

So, if you’ve been wondering about buying some of my original art before, now’s the time. They’re all strictly one-offs, so you won’t see another one quite like it! But hurry…if you don’t bag it, somebody else will…

Sketch of Vini Reilly (The Durutti Column)

After reading about guitarist Vini Reilly’s health issues a few years ago, I feared we’d never get any more new material from the Mancunian master of melancholy. So, I was as surprised as anyone to hear about the release of Renascent – the first new album from The Durutti Column in 15 years. It’s a truly beautiful piece of work which captures everything I love about Vini’s music…and, hopefully, I’ve captured his personality in this pencil sketch.

Sketch of Jason Williamson (Sleaford Mods)

I’ve loved Sleaford Mods ever since Jason and Andrew came snarling and shouting onto my radar with their signature tune, Jobseeker, back in 2007. Since then, they’ve collaborated with a wide range of other artists I love (such as Amy Taylor, Florence Shaw and Leftfield) and continued to develop their sound while always staying true to what made them so unique in the first place. Here’s my sketch of Jason in full shouty mode – I hope I’ve managed to capture his passion and indignant rage!

Sketch of Kim Deal (Pixies, The Breeders)

As bassist and c0-vocalist with Pixies, Kim Deal brought a unique vibe which somehow managed to be both slacker and sassy at the same time. Plus, those incredible bass riffs truly helped solidify the Boston band’s unique sound. As lead vocalist in The Breeders, she helped create an era-defining run of albums and singles, such as Pod and Last Splash (featuring the stone-cold classic, Cannonball). I hope my sketch goes some way towards capturing what a true legend this lady is!
